(Rumor) There is news being reported by SamMobile that Samsung may include a cryptocurrency wallet in its new Galaxy S10. The wallet will include the following:
- A cold wallet for saving cryptocurrency, public and private keys as well as signing private keys for cryptocurrency transactions
- A crypto wallet for transfers, viewing account information and transaction history.
There are no details on what the name of the crypto wallet will be and no leaks of its interface. According to the report Samsung’s cold wallet app will enable users to import their existing wallets from third-party services like Metamask or TrustWallet. They will also be able to create a new one in the app itself. The cryptocurrencies and tokens supported initially may include Bitcoin, Ethereum, ERC20 tokens and Bitcoin Cash.
As you can imagine Apple will not be left behind here and will certainly have their own crypto wallet built into the iPhone. Other smartphone makers such as Google and HTC may also follow suit. In fact it was reported that the HTC Exodus 1 would include the Brave browser which rewards users with the Basic Attention Token (BAT) with usage.
This is a great sign for crypto holders as not only do we have major institutional investors getting into the market but major companies are building technology to provide solutions for the growth of the market.
