Starbucks, Microsoft & NYSE Parent Company Launching Crypto Exchange Bakkt
Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges, clearing houses, data and listings services, announced today that it plans to form a new company, Bakkt, which intends to leverage Microsoft cloud solutions to create an open and regulated, global ecosystem for digital assets. Ripple Announces Partnership with Western Union
Ripple has confirmed its partnership with money transfer company Western Union which is currently testing Ripple's xRapid protocol. Western Union joins MoneyGram in testing XRP.

MoneyGram will use Ripple XRP for faster international payments. Ripple mentioned they are working with 3 of the top 5 money transfer companies, the other two companiescould potentially be Western Union and PayPal.
Ripple CEO Brand Garlinghouse States That 3 of the Top 5 Money Transfer companies are partnered with Ripple.
On January 5th, 2018 Brad Garlinghouse was interviewed on the Fox Business TV Show where he states that 3 of the top 5 money transfer companies, potentially Wester Union, MoneyGram and PayPal, are partnered with Ripple. However, he could not disclose the names at this time.
Bitcoin Futures Trading Approved for CME Group & Cantor Fitzgerald
On Friday December 1st, 2017, it was announced that the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved Bitcoin Futures Trading for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange aka CME Group and Canter Fitzgerald. The CME Group stated that their Bitcoin Futures contract will launch on December 18th, 2017.
